Boccaccio and hindsight

Submit

Are you the next to be part of the Van Diemen Decameron, and help create a modern legacy in the spirt of Boccaccio’s original? We are calling for stories, essays, poems – any short piece of writing that reflects your experience of the pandemic of 2020. We will publish the best of them, celebrating the creativity of writers in this most uncelebrateable of times. So sharpen your quills and write to us about your 2020 experience: poignancy, sadness, tragedy; patience, courage, heroism.

It was the worst of times, it was the most creative of times: send your words (maximum 1,500 words per submission) to editor@fortysouth.com.au.

We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal people as the traditional and original owners and continuing custodians of lutruwita, and acknowledge elders past and present.
