The light on the lake

You’re the smile on my wall

You’re the sun on my back

You are the quiet of the morning

You’re the brightest star at night

You’re the clouds drifting by

You’re the whisper in the trees

You’re the view from the hill

You are the light on the lake

You’re the changing of the seasons

The scent of honey in the air

You are the songbirds in the forest

You’re the snowflakes that fall

You’re the love in every love song

Of the playlist of my life

You’re the reason I’m alone now

You are the light on the lake

You’re in the laughter and the cheers

Of the silliness shared here

You’re the good in everyone

The memories they hold dear

You’re the reason why I’m living

You’re the reason that I write

You’re the love in every love song

You are the light on the lake.
