Community events organisers have been the linchpin of the Festival for nine years. They have brought a wealth of creative, collaborative, thought-provoking and harmonious events welcoming the public to try new things, consider new ideas and to create new bonds.
This year the Tamar Valley Peace Festival is supported by St.Lukes. The St.Lukes innovative new building in Cimitiere Street will be this year’s the central “go-to” zone for The Peace Festival.
Known as the Peace Hub, this central vantage point will host the Festival Launch and will provide a convenient contact point for organisers and participants.
The Peace Hub will present workshops, creative ideas for public participation, health and wellbeing classes and a series of speakers addressing topics surround peace and how we can all contribute to a more harmonious society.
Additionally, community partners are bringing a wealth of activity and entertainment at various venues throughout Launceston. Events include art, craft, dance, food, nature and self care.
To take part in this year’s festival visit the events page HERE. Some events require booking as places are limited. For the others simply walk in and enjoy. Registration links are included on each event page.
